****MINTUTES FOR NM ASHI November 4th, 2006****

MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Meek, Garry Vollbrecht, Tom Eggert, Joseph Lebron, Frank Melendrez, Bruce Glinski, Deborah May, Haydon Spidell, Jeff Hockersmith, Larry Valdez, Rick Motelet, Linda Cecil, Lyle Kerstiens and Michael Dooley

Meeting brought to order at 10:15 AM, Quorum is present

No minutes read from previous meeting, No committee reports

Treasurers report: Current balance of October 31, 2006 $4700.05 (un-reconciled)

We are now collecting for the 2007 New Mexico ASHI dues. Cost is $125.00. These dues will cover from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007.

New Mexico ASHI elections were held at this meeting and the following officers were elected:

• Tom Eggert-President NM ASHI
• Bud Hebrlee-Vice President NM ASHI
• Joseph Lebron-Secretary NM ASHI
• Deborah May-Treasurer NM ASHI
• Bruce Glinski-CORE Representative for NM ASHI

Additionally, the following were appointed to the education and membership chairs for NM ASHI:

• Jeff Hockersmith-Education Chair (Santa Fe area)
• Frank Melendrez-Education Chair (Albuquerque area)
• Haydon Spidell-Membership Chair (Santa Fe area)
• Gary Vollbrecht-Membership Chair (Albuquerque area)

Congratulations to all elected officers. We look forward to an exciting 2007 campaign! A thank you goes out to both Peter Meek and Gary Vollbrecht for doing such a great job while serving our NM ASHI chapter.

Please remember, all individuals testing for radon in New Mexico must be registered with the state. Please contact Michael Taylor at the State of New Mexico Environment Department Radiation Control Bureau for additional information (505-476-3236).

Larry Valdez is searching for a new venue for the NM ASHI meetings. More information is to follow in the upcoming months.
